Hitachi has been selected to provide a Proton Beam Therapy System to Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica (CNAO). The system will feature advanced scanning technology to irradiate complex tumours with high precision. CNAO, located in Pavia (near Milan) is one of the world's leading clinical centres in particle cancer therapy and the first national hadrontherapy centre in Italy.
This is Hitachi’s 1st Proton Beam Therapy system in Italy and our 2nd in Europe. Hitachi particle therapy systems are used by leading cancer treatment specialists around the world and have treated more than 60,000 patients.
