Hitachi is proud to have committed to the UN's Race To Zero

At the B7 CEO Summit of global business leaders on May 10 2021, Alistair Dormer, Hitachi's Chief Environmental Officer, affirmed Hitachi's commitment to the UN's Race to Zero.

In December 2020 Hitachi’s commitment to reduce emissions from its own businesses by 100% by 2030 were approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative. Hitachi also committed to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 40% over the same time frame.

Race to Zero is a global campaign to rally leadership and support for a Zero Carbon economy. Over 3,500 businesses, cities, regions, and investors have committed to the Race to Zero, and Hitachi is proud to be one of them. We are also a Principal Partner for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in November.
