Recently, Hitachi is implementing the dedicated freight corridor (DFC) project where Hitachi has two projects of introducing Automatic Block signaling with Train management system (TMS), GSM-R telecommunication system and the European Train Control System (ETCS) between Rewari and Vadodara to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust. This project is of enormous national importance and it will help increasing the capacity of mass transportation and the speed of freight trains.

It’s long distance and suburban network carried more than 8,000 million passengers and an estimated 1.01 billion tons of freight in the fiscal year 2016-17.2
Recently, Hitachi has been awarded one of the biggest signaling and telecommunication contracts by Indian Railway construction major DFCCIL. The project will contribute to the creation of safe and modern logistical infrastructure in India.
