Hitachi Social Innovation Forum

Hitachi's annual event in Japan was first brought to Southeast Asia - Singapore - in November 2014 as the company celebrated its 50th anniversary in Singapore. Following its success, the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum (HSIF) has since made its way to Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

At the respective forums, Hitachi was honored by the esteemed presence of distinguished guests, including H.E. U Kyaw Myo (Deputy Minister for Ministry of Transport and Communications, Myanmar), Mr. Saknarong Saengsangapong (Vice Chairman of The Federation of Thai Industries and Chairman of Institute of Information and Communication Technology for Industries, The Federation of Thai Industries), Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen (Vice Chairman, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee), Mr. Rudiantara (Minister, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia), YB Dato' Seri Ong Ka Chuan (Second Minister of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia) and Assistant Secretary, Atty. Leah V. Merida-Quiambao from Legal Affairs, on behalf of Secretary Arthur P. Tugade (Department of Transportation, Republic of the Philippines).

Committed to contribute to Southeast Asia's growth by addressing the region's challenges, Hitachi has planned a series of HSIFs to showcase the company's solutions.
