Mass adoption of electric vehicles will revolutionise our world, but first we need to prepare the infrastructure and grid for the new power demands. Optimise Prime is the largest commercial electric vehicle trial in the world with up to 3,000 vehicles taking part. The trial is designed to better understand fleet usage and charging habits of electric vehicle fleets. Different parts of Hitachi are working together with Uber, Centrica, Royal Mail, UK Power Networks and SSEN to ensure a smooth transition to an all-electric vehicle future.
