Hitachi makes some of the fastest and safest railways in the world. As we look to the future Hitachi is proud to partner with HyperloopTT as investor, signalling and automation partner.
HyperloopTT aims to connect cities faster, and compete with domestic airlines, whilst producing far less CO2. Reaching speeds of up to 1,200 kph or 760 mph, hyperloop will work by magnetically levitating capsules in a vacuum, so reducing friction from air and tracks.
The technology partnership will adapt and integrate hyperloop’s capsule system with Hitachi’s industry-leading signalling technology based on the industry-leading ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) standard. The learning from this partnership will be used to make safer systems for Hitachi’s existing fleet of railways in Europe and beyond.
