Hitachi has installed its first Proton Beam Therapy Treatment System in Europe. The cutting-edge cancer treatment system is in Madrid at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. The system treats hard to reach tumours, where precision is vital. Proton Beam Therapy is especially useful in also treating cancers in children, where the surrounding tissue remains untouched.
